Dyed Turquoise Beaded Necklace

Yesterday I realized I hadn’t added anything to the lakeshore lavaliere fall line recently, so I decided to go hunting for more beads that reflect the colors of fall. I found these amazing dyed turquoise orange stone beads, (which are similar to the ones I used previously in the lakeshore lavaliere Turquoise Drop Triple Chain necklace) and had to have them:

Real turquoise is hard to come by right now, and fairly expensive, so when I saw these beads I really just had to have them. I love the earthy feel they have and the way the orange swirls with the other colors. These beads just remind me of the wide variety of oranges, browns, tans, etc. that the leaves change in the fall- and those are my favorite colors! I will definitely create more pieces with the rest of these beads, but there aren’t many of them and I can’t buy more because they are no longer available, so these pieces will really be one=of-a-kind.  I’ll have more necklaces and accessories to post later today, so check back later for more new pieces!

Wrap Bracelet & Wrap Bracelet with a Twist

Wrap bracelets are still incredibly popular, and I’ve been getting a lot of custom orders for them in many different colors. I love making them because even though the design is the same, each one becomes unique just by changing the color of the leather cord, the beads, or even the clasp.

I’ve even been wearing them everywhere- but, although I love how they look when accenting an outfit for a normal day, the leather cord look doesn’t exactly go with dressier outfits, and I need an elegant bracelet for an upcoming event. So, I decided to try using the same design as the traditional wrap bracelet, but substituted a gold chain and gold wire for the usual leather cord and silk thread. This was the result:

I made one final change to the traditional design, adding a gold flower toggle clasp for an elegant finish.

It turned out to be the perfect accent to a black cocktail dress!

If you like the red bead wrap bracelet with the gold chain & flower toggle clasp, you can click the pictures to access the listing in the lakeshore lavaliere online store! If you’d like a different color bead, or a silver chain, just specify at checkout and I can make the substitutions.

Just picked up a bunch of cameos that I’m absolutely obsessed with. They come in blue, light blue, cobalt blue, yellow, coral, red, black, and more. They also come in 3 sizes, so look out for earrings, rings, and other necklaces. If you like cameos order soon, because orders have already been placed and I haven’t even posted about it yet! (until now).

Recycle Your Old Jewelry!

Orange and Blue are the colors of the season, and everyone is wearing them together. I needed a pair of orange earrings to go with a navy dress that I wanted to wear for an event, but I couldn’t find any that I really wanted. So, I sifted through my pile of old jewelry, and found some orange beads and gold pendants on some necklaces that I used to wear. They seemed the perfect size to combine with other pieces to make into a pair of earrings. I combined some chain, beads, and other materials I had in my jewelry arsenal, and this great new pair of earrings (and several other similar pairs) was/were born!
